ALAS POOR WORLD

RED KITE THEATRE is the only local company performing original,
home-grown theatre open to all members of the community from 11 to 111
and we’re gearing up for another spectacular show in 2008.

ALAS POOR WORLD is Red Kite Theatre Company's newest production - an Eco-Play for
today which reveals a dark vision of mankind's future…
The year is 2227. The place is MK2, a domed city built to shelter its inhabitants from the
toxic world outside - a world so abused and polluted by earlier generations that it is no
longer possible to walk on its surface. But there is a whispered rumour about a land to
the west where people still live outside, in harmony with the earth….
Alas Poor World will be performed at Hay Community Centre (6th & 13th July at 7pm),
Voices of Shakespeare Festival, Living Willow Theatre (11th July at 7pm) and Theatr
Brycheiniog Studio, Brecon ( Sat 19th July 7.30pm, and Sun 20th July at 2pm).

Workshops continue every Friday between 7 and 8.30pm
during term times. [There may be a small charge for workshops to new members over 16].
