POSTCARDS FROM HAY RED KITE THEATRE is the only local company performing original, home-grown theatre open to all members of the community from 11 to 111 and we’re gearing up for another spectacular show in 2007. POSTCARDS FROM HAY will be an irreverent look at characters and events in the locality’s chequered history from Celtic times to the present day. As usual, the show will be developed with the group in workshops run by Red Kite’s professional team. The idea is to create a series of small scenes depicting significant moments in local history for an outdoor performance in the centre of Hay-on-Wye in spring/summer 2007. There will be plenty of opportunities for EVERYONE, young and not so young, to htake part in this exciting new project as performer, audience or behind the scenes. So come along to the first workshop at Gwernyfed Drama Studio, Three Cocks, on Friday, 12 January 2007. Workshops continue every Friday between 7 and 8.30pm during term times.
